Hey there. Holy shit it’s been a looong time since our last blog entry! We hope everyone has been doing well.

Let me fill you in on the happenings of Quartered:

Basically, since we arrived home from the Philippines last August we have been rehearsing, writing, and playing a few local shows here and there to keep the vibes up.

The cellar show in October of last year was a great time. The place was packed and the energy in that room was inspiring for us to see while up on stage. Next came the Tom Lee Music Hall show in November where we played with some great bands and over a, might I say, pretty sick sound system. Finally, the last show we played was just over a week ago at the Troubadour in Langley for our good friend, Amal`s, birthday. It was most definitely good times with a ton of good people and we would love to play there again.

As I mentioned before we have also been writing. A lot. We are very excited about this new stuff and can’t wait for the opportunity to showcase it to everyone in the near future. Most of new songs are being considered for an upcoming EP that we hope to release during the summer of 2012 so stay on the lookout for that!

The Rockband network has also been great to us this year. Not only was the song Walks Like A Ghost released late last year but Eternity Below is also now available for download on PS3 and Xbox 360. You can check out some of the videos fans have posted on Youtube.

Last but not least in this seriously overdue post is our upcoming Canadian Tour. That`s right! We are braving the frigid winter/spring of the great white north to travel across the country all the way to Toronto where we were recently accepted to play during the Canadian Music Festival. I`m pleased to say we are STOKED about this development and will play a number of shows on our way there and back and hopefully see all of our friends`, family`s, and fans` beautiful faces that we can. Miss you all and can`t wait to rock out with you again!

And I`ll try not to wait another 6 months for the next blog. Peace!

Well the Typhoon Tour 2011 Tour in Manila has come to an end, but it couldnt have been complete without actually being in a Typhoon. So after playing KILLER shows for all of the Philippines for the month of July 2011 we decided to take a bit of a vacation to an island close by Manila. After a crazy couple days we were looking to get back to the airport but something was in our way, that would be a typhoon. Now we are from Vancouver Canada, and we never see tropical storms ever, so this was a blessing and a curse at the same time, cool to see, not cool to miss a flight home. All in all we are all safe and Red Horse Beer really helped us get outa there!! We will be posting some videos on this very soon, so you can see what ACTUALLY went down!!

On a lighter note, WALKS LIKE A GHOST is now officially available for download on the ROCK BAND NETWORK for the Xbox360 platform and soon it will be available for PS3 and Wii. We are so stoked to be able to have our new CD available for this kick ass game, 2 more tracks are being worked on right now, those being our single ETERNITY BELOW and our favorite song off Walks like a ghost, Half-Cab.

Well FINALLY we have gotten through that brutal winter here in Canada and we here at Quartered couldn’t be more excited with what is coming up.

First off we are hosting one of the best concerts to date. “Rain City Throwdown” will be happening June 10th at Vancouver’s RickShaw Theatre. With an action packed line up including Stand Down, Out of the Ruins, Quartered, and of course the fabled Ninjaspy, Rain City Throwdown is sure to be one of the best concerts this summer. Tickets are going fast so if you would like to get some pre-sale and beat the lines please contact any of the bands or you can also purchase them at Scrape Records.

ill be our kick off show for our tour back to the Philippines in July and we cant wait. We will be over for a month this time with our brothers in Slapshock and traveling around there to meet the people and play as many shows as we can. We will be documenting this trip so be sure to stay tuned for updates and videos.

A couple other pieces of news to let you know about, the first being 3 new tracks being added to the Rock Band Network available for download to the Wii, Xbox360, or the PS3. The tracks are from our Walks Like A Ghost Album and are the title track, along with Eternity Below and Half-Cab. We are stoked to be able to play these songs and to have our fans post videos on them. Hopefully we could even start a band with some fans

online!!!

The second is some new merch being printed right now. We will post some pictures as soon as we get them. Be sure to keep your eyes locked on Quartered.ca for the new stuff available.

Well it is official, Eternity below is now released and we were lucky enough to strike up a deal with our good friends METALUNDERGROUND.com for an exclusive viewing. This is the site for all things METAL and to update yourself on your fav metal bands and their news. We are so stoked on this new video and even happier that we can partner with such a great site to help us get the word out on it. Please stop by and check it out, and please let us know what you think about the video!!

It all started as an idea and now it has manifested itself into a full video, the first release of WALKS LIKE A GHOST, Eternity Below. It has quickly become one our favorite tracks on the new cd even though we have heard it and played through the recording process and the video process, still gets stuck in our heads. More importantly we want to hear what you have to say about it!! The fans need a voice and that is shining through on all of our sites. We have been lucky enough to stand the test of time in this band, still after a decade we are still rocking the original line up and not quitting anytime soon. This year alone we are being challenged with bigger better shows, and putting what we know best out there to the people who want to hear it.

Keep in mind that we are filling up our calendars all the time with new gigs so check back often, who knows, maybe we will be in your town soon……anyone got a couch big enough for 5??

If you are anything like me, I guess you could say the typical boyhood playtimes, I LOVE video games. Always have!!! From the christmas morning we got an NES and I stayed up late to play Super Mario Brothers and Duck Hunt, Metroid, Kid Icarus, (which I learned after was released on the same day and by the same developer) the Mega mans, the N64, Playstations 1, 2 and 3, and of course the Xbox’s, I always wanted to be in a video game, or be able to create one. With Quartered I was able to reach one of my childhood dreams, and it felt AMAZING!!! The game is Rock Band and the Rock Band Network (RBN). You all know it and have come to spend countless tries to expert the songs you love. I know I have!

With such a great response from our previous track “Africa” we hear at Quartered are in the works of releasing 3 new tracks to the Rock Band Network. These new songs will be available shortly after the trials are debugged and are featured from our latest 2010 release “Walks Like A Ghost.” We are very excited to see the fans have a crack at the new songs, as well as how good we (as the band) can play our own songs. I cannot believe the videos that have been posted about people playing our track and the scores they are getting, below are a few links of some of the best players out there. There are many more out there, these are a few with drums, guitars, and vocals…..Sorry Craig, couldn’t find bass.

With such a great response, “Eternity Below” “Half Cab”  and the title track “Walks Like A Ghost” will be released as soon as all the work by the authoring company has been finished. Thank you for the continued support and be sure to send us your videos so we can see how the fans do on the new songs, who knows maybe we could all play it together one day….

Team Quartered

Quartered would like to extend a challenge to our fans. Do you enjoy drawing? Do you dabble in graphic arts? Ever see a piece of clothing and think “ I could design a piece better then that!” . Well here is your chance to shine; Quartered is challenging you to design brand new merchandise for the band.  We are opening a contest for new concepts to put on a T, long Sleeve and sweatshirt along with patches, stickers and basically anything YOU, the fans, want to see. We will then choose the winning designs from all the entries, along with a brief bio from the creator. It will be featured across our network for everyone to see!!!

There are only a few rules we ask that you follow:

-       All entries need to be on paper or any sort of design program

-       You cannot use previous or existing art in any form, as per copyright infringement. (I.E. Must be an original design.)

-       It must have “Quartered” in or on the item being submitted (Band name must be visible, but does not have to be centre of design)

-       Does not have to be centered around the C.D. “Walks Like A Ghost”, any idea will be accepted including text and slogans

Each person or group can submit up to 2 designs and we will pick 2 winning ideas. Each winner will be credited for their design and will receive a free set of their merch design, signed “Walks Like A Ghost”  CD, “Falls Of Autumn” signed CD, and free tickets to the next show along with 2 of their friends.

Hey everybody.

It’s looking like February will be a very busy month for us boys.

First up, a FREE show, sponsored by Airwalk and Adrenaline Tattoos, that’s guaranteed to please.  It’s at the Media Club on Feb 21st w/ Gentlemen prefer blondes.   Come one, come all, get busy… cut a rug.

Next is Feb 25th in Maple Ridge at Club Climax w/ Wreckin’ Crew.  Everybody be there for strippers and music!  I won’t say more.

Finally, Feb 26^th is going to be an Island show w/ Pentacaust and is the first time we’ve rocked the Island since 2008!  Be there for sure…

Oh, and iiif you’re wondering, the video shoot for Eternity Below went awesome and will be released in early March. FSA Productions killed it and we are very stoked to get it out there.  Charlie is the mang.

Tomorrow we start production on our music video for Eternity Below. We would like to thank all our friends and fans that are coming to be a a part of the shoot. In other news we have solitified a date for a free show for february 21 @ the Media Club in Vancity with our good buddies Gentleman Prefer Blondes.  This show will be sponsered by Airwalk and costs you nothing to get in. Just thought I would update you to let you know we will be performing Live this Saturday Jan. 22, 2011 at Joe’s Apartment (919 Granville, Vancouver BC) with our old friends Macula and new friends Moniker. Tickets will be $10 at the door, and them bad boys open at 7pm. This is the first show of the new year for us and for the fans of Quartered so come on out and support your local Rock Scene in Vancouver. It seems to be a dying trend here, but there are still a few clubs around that house harder music…..thank heaven!!!

In other news, we are recording and filming a music video in the next couple weeks. We will be making “Eternity Below” from our Walks Like A Ghost release late last year and we are so stoked!! Be sure to check back with the site and keep posted so you can get you look on to the video when it is all done!!

Happy 2011 to all of our fans, friends, family, and followers. We hope that this year will be as big as our last! So far we have been working very hard to get all of our goals for the year set up so we can come out of the blocks running. As you may have seen already we have a BRAND NEW WEBSITE now up and running to keep all your Quartered news in one place. We will be hitting you with band updates, concerts, contests, and most importantly…..New Music!!

With this new site we will able to keep you all more informed and hopefully create a new hub of info and details on your boys in Quartered.
